Ukraine Scraps Some Visa Requirements For U.S. Citizens

30 June 2005 -- Ukraine will abolish some visa requirements for U.S. citizens from 1 July.

The announcement came in a presidential order made public today.

The order will affect all American nationals making a second trip to the country, provided their stay does not exceed 90 days.

The presidential press service said President Viktor Yushchenko has made the move with the goal of developing a strategic partnership with the U.S.
