Saudi Security Forces Battle Alleged Car Thieves

30 August 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Saudi security forces have battled armed men believed to be Iraqis in the industrial city of Jubail, east of the capital Riyadh.

Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman General Mansur al-Turki told the AFP news agency one of the armed men had been wounded, the other three arrested. He said they had made their way to Saudi Arabia apparently to steal cars.

The spokesman said two cars allegedly stolen by the four had been seized by Saudi security forces.
