China Announces Restart Of North Korea Nuclear Talks


3 November 2005 -- China's Foreign Ministry announced today that the next round of six-way talks on North Korea's nuclear program will begin in Beijing on 9 November.


The talks are aimed at convincing North Korea to end its nuclear programs in exchange for aid and security guarantees.


The negotiations include China, Japan, Russia, South Korea, and the United States and have been continuing since 2003.
