Two Days Of Mourning Declared For Russian Bus Victims


The accident happened at an unmarked railroad crossing (RFE/RL) 13 January 2006 -- The governor of Russia's southern Krasnodar region has decreed two days of mourning over the weekend to pay respects to the 22 victims who died when a minibus and a train collided today.

Aleksandr Tkachev, who is on a trip to Germany, has cut short his visit to return to Krasnodar.


The accident reportedly occurred at an unmarked rail crossing in the Ust-Labinsky district of the southern Krasnodar region. Five people were wounded.


Prosecutors are investigating the incident.
