Three Suspected Militants Detained In Chechnya


Russian soldiers in Chechnya (file photo) (AFP) June 19, 2006 -- Security forces in Chechnya detained three alleged militants on June 18.


The men are suspected of being involved in attacks on police.


In neighboring Ingushetia, an alleged militant was killed and four law-enforcement officers were wounded in a clash. The militant killed allegedly took part in an attack in Nazran in 2004 during which some 90 police and security officials were killed.
