Grigory Grabovoi being led into court in Moscow (ITAR-TASS)
September 18, 2006 -- The trial of a Russian cult leader who promised to resurrect the dead has gone on trial in Moscow on charges of fraud.
Grigory Grabovoi, who says he is the second coming of Jesus Christ, had promised to raise from the dead children killed in the Beslan school siege in 2004.
Russian media says Grabovoi charged $1,500 for individual meetings with him and $37 per person for a group meeting. Grabovoi denies taking any money.
