Gunmen Fire On Relay Stations In Ingushetia


October 13, 2006 -- Unidentified gunmen sprayed automatic weapons fire at several mobile communications relay stations in the southern Russian republic of Ingushetia overnight.


The Interior Ministry said the stations, owned by the Megafon company, were moderately damaged.


No injuries were reported.


Megafon base stations in the region have been attacked in the past.


Investigators believe a commercial dispute may be a possible motive.
