Russian Nuclear Missile Test Fails


A Russian nuclear submarine at dock in Severomorsk (file photo) (ITAR-TASS) October 25, 2006 -- Russia newest intercontinental ballistic missile fell into the sea several minutes into a test flight today.


The Bulava rocket was launched from a nuclear submarine in the White Sea but it veered off course and fell into the sea.


This is the second time that the Bulava missile has failed at launch in the past two months.

RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
