Iraqi security officials say a bomb exploded in the center of Baghdad on the east side of the Tigris River, killing three people and wounding 16.

The attack came shortly after a car bomb exploded in a market on the outskirts of Baghdad, in the small town of Al-Husseiniyah, killing three people and wounding 15.
