Rice Says Israeli-Palestinian Peace On Agenda

Rice (left) meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni yesterday (official site) February 18, 2007 -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said today she would use a three-way meeting with Israeli and Palestinian leaders to explore peace prospects.

Rice spoke before going into a meeting with moderate Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

She is to meet separately later in the day with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert before all three meet on February 19 in Jerusalem.
