Bosnian Serb Sentenced To 10 Years For War Crimes

(RFE/RL) March 8, 2007 -- A Bosnian court today sentenced a former Bosnian Serb paramilitary fighter to 10 years in prison for crimes against humanity committed during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.

Radislav Ljubinac belonged to a paramilitary unit under the leadership of the Serbian Democratic Party, which was founded by the indicted war crimes fugitive Radovan Karadzic.

Ljubinac was found guilty of taking part in the forceful transfer of Muslim civilians to a front-line combat zone where they were used as human shields.
