Moscow, March 15 (RFE/RL) - Two Russian regions, the far east and southwest, are scheduled Sunday to elect local administration heads and legislative bodies.
Our correspondent quotes central election comittee representatives as saying that the elections will take place in the Amour region and the Belgorod region.
In the Amour region, citizens need to elect about 2,000 deputies to district and village legislative bodies. The Belgorod region needs to elect heads of district administrations.
Our correspondent reports that Communists are dominating candidate lists in the Belgorod region.
