Moscow, March 29 (RFE/RL) - Russia and Ukraine continue
talks in Moscow today aimed at finalizing the agreement on the
division of the Black Sea fleet.
RFE/RL correspondent quotes the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow as
saying that deputy prime ministers of Ukraine and Russia - Vassily
Durdinets and Aleksei Bolshakov - are holding talks in the Russian
capital focusing on the financial problems of the fleet division.
Disagreements over the Black Sea fleet division are the most
important obstacle for Russian president Boris Yeltsin's visit to
Ukraine, scheduled for next week (April 4-5).
Yeltsin said yesterday he would postpone the visit to Kyiv if the
agreement on the Black Sea division is not ready.
