Warsaw, 30 October 1996 (RFE/RL) -- Poland's Prime Minister Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz travels to Russia next month, visiting Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan.
Our Warsaw correspondent reports Cimoszewicz will hold talks in Moscow with Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin, Presidential Chief of Staff Anatoly Chubais and top Federal Assembly leaders.
Cimoszewicz will also meet members of the Poland-Russia economic roundtable, which seeks to foster improved trade ties. He will also meet representatives of Russia's ethnic Polish communities. He then travels on to St. Petersburg and Tatarstan.
