Budapest, 8 May 2003 (RFE/RL) -- Officials in Hungary say more than 25 passengers on a German tourist bus were killed after a train hit the double-decker bus along the shores of Lake Balaton today. Police and rescue officials said the bus was crossing the railway line when it was hit by the train, traveling from Budapest to Nagykanizsa.
The collision happened near Siofok, a popular tourist resort some 100 kilometers south of Budapest.
