Russian Rights Activist Wins Libel Case

A Moscow court found the head of the Memorial Human Rights Center, Oleg Orlov, not guilty of insulting Chechen Republic head Ramzan Kadyrov, on June 14. Orlov had said that Kadyrov was responsible for everything that happens in Chechnya, including the murder of his Grozny-based colleague Natalya Estemirova. Kadyrov filed a lawsuit against Orlov, saying Orlov had insulted him.
