Caught In The Crossfire In Kirkuk
Gunmen attacked the headquarters of a police intelligence unit in Kirkuk, northern Iraq, on December 4, sparking a shoot-out with police that left at least five people dead. Several of the attackers set off suicide bombs before police regained control of the building. RFE/RL Radio Free Iraq correspondent Nihad Al-Bayati was at the scene of the shoot-out and was trapped there until late at night as police cordoned off the area and searched for remaining militants. Al-Bayati captured this dramatic video.
