Bond Girl Branded A Traitor

Has anybody heard the one about the actress who betrayed the motherland and palled around with imperialist running-dog lackeys of the capitalist ruling classes?

What do you mean, no?

A leftist fringe group in Russia has issued a statement calling out Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko, co-star of the new James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" for committing an "act of intellectual and moral betrayal" against her homeland.

The statement from a group calling itself "the Communists of Petersburg and Leningrad," goes on to say -- and no, I am not making this up -- that James Bond is "the killer of hundreds of Soviet people and their allies."

The group reminds Kurylenko -- a native of Berdyansk, Ukraine, who was discovered by a talent scout while riding the Moscow Metro -- that "the Soviet Union educated you, cared for you, and brought you up for free.... Do you really want Crimean girls to be raped by cruel and stupid American marines?"

Kurylenko had no immediate comment. It's hard to defend yourself against charges of palling around with someone who fictionally killed hundreds of people.
