Tehran's chief prosecutor says authorities will soon put on trial five people accused of spying for the country's "enemies," an apparent reference to the United States and Israel.
Prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi did not identify the alleged "spies," nor did he specify a date for the trial.
He said the five have passed information abroad, including about Iran's space and cyber programs, defense, and economy.
Earlier this month, Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi said that authorities had arrested several "nuclear spies" who were working to derail Iran's nuclear program.
Dolatabadi, in his remarks today, made no reference to Iran's nuclear program.
