BISHKEK -- Prominent Kyrgyz pop singer Mirlan Doutov has been found stabbed to death in his apartment, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reports.
Police said Doutov, who is known to his fans as "Michael," had been stabbed at least 20 times. He was found on April 1.
A spokesman for Bishkek's Sverdlov district Interior Ministry told RFE/RL that an investigation has been opened into the murder.
