Opposition leaders Mir Hossein Musavi and Mehdi Karrubi have urged Iranians to take part in fresh protest demonstrations on June 12, the anniversary of the election that gave President Mahmud Ahmadinejad a second term.

The two made the call at a meeting on April 26 where they reportedly discussed Iran’s domestic and foreign policy, the plight of political prisoners, and developments since last year’s disputed vote.

The Sahamnews website has posted a short video of the meeting in which Karrubi and Musavi are seen greeting each other.

Musavi and Karrubi lost out to Ahmadinejad in last year's election and still refuse to acknowledge Ahmadinejad's victory, accusing him of massive vote fraud.
