Polish media reports say President Lech Kaczynski who was killed in a plane crash this weekend in Russia is expected to be buried on April 17.
Kaczynski was among 96 dead in the plane crash in Smolensk, western Russia. His wife and dozens of senior officials and military top brass were among the victims.
Officials said Kaczynski's closed coffin will be put on public view on April 13 for Poles to pay their final respects.
Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski was quoted as saying Russian President Dmitry Medvedev was among leaders aiming to attend the funeral.
Russia is marking a day of mourning today as relatives arrive to try to identify some of the victims.
Kaczinski's body was flown back to Warsaw on April 11 where tens of thousands of Poles gathered to mourn him.
Russian investigators suspect pilot error caused the crash.
Kaczynski and his delegation were on their way to attend a ceremony commemorating a 1940 massacre by Soviet troops of thousands of Poles in the Katyn forest.
