Six Killed In Suicide Bombing In North Afghanistan

The police chief of Afghanistan's northern Konduz Province says a suicide bomber killed five policemen and one civilian in the city of Konduz today.

Abdul-Razaq Yaqubi said the suicide bomber, who was riding on the back of a motorcycle, injured another five people in the midday attack.

Earlier, the governor of Konduz Province, Mohammad Omar, said the bomb blast had killed at least seven people.

The reason for the conflicting reports was not immediately clear.
