Five Afghan police officers were accidentally killed in a U.S. air strike late on July 31 at a checkpoint in Afghanistan's Nangarhar Province. Footage from August 1 shows the partly destroyed checkpoint and two wounded officers receiving treatment in a hospital. A provincial government spokesman said Afghan special forces had called for air support during a clash with a group of Taliban fighters at a police checkpoint. (Reuters)
