An Afghan official says a drone strike in eastern Nangarhar Province has killed 11 militants, including four alleged members of the Pakistani Taliban.
Sherhad District Governor Mahlem Mashuq said missiles fired by the drone on December 16 killed all 11 occupants of a pickup truck.
He said the drone strike occurred as members of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were attacking a school in Peshawar, near the Afghan border in northwestern Pakistan.
Both Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and the Afghan Taliban condemned the school attack, which killed 132 children and nine school staff.
