Officials in Afghanistan say at least five police have been killed and six others wounded in an attack by a suicide car bomber targeting a district police headquarters in the southern province of Kandahar.
Reports say the bomber rammed his car into the gate of the building.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the May 31 bombing, but Taliban militants who have launched scores of similiar previous attacks are suspected.
Kandahar is the largest city in southern Afghanistan and is where the Taliban movement emerged almost 20 years ago.
