Police Say Yerevan Bus Bomber Killed By Blast, Probably Accidentally

Investigators in Armenia say a 55-year-old man who blew up a bus in Yerevan on April 25 was one of the two people killed in the explosion.

Authorities said on April 27 that Ruden Balyan was thought to have been traveling on the bus with a bomb in order to attack relatives that he had been quarreling with.

Investigator Sona Truzyan said Balyan may have accidentally detonated the bomb before reaching his intended target.

Authorities traced a SIM card found at the scene of the explosion to Balyan.

They also found explosives and detonators at his home.
