MONDAY, September 5:

Azerbaijan/Serbia: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov visits Belgrade to attend a meeting of members of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Kazakhstan/Azerbaijan: Kazakh Defense Minister Adilbek Jaksibekov visits Baku (to September 6).

Serbia: Belgrade hosts a jubilee event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement (to September 6).

Ukraine/Russia: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryshchenko is scheduled to visit Moscow.


TUESDAY, September 6:

Denmark/Russia: Queen Margrethe II of Denmark makes a state visit to Moscow, meets with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev (to September 9).

France/Russia: French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe visits Moscow to take part in a meeting of the Russian-French Security Cooperation Council and to discuss the situations in Libya and Syria (to September 7).

EU/Kosovo: EU Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee holds extraordinary meeting on Kosovo in Brussels.

Russia: Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema opens in Tatarstan (to September 11).


WEDNESDAY, September 7:

Armenia: New EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort visits Yerevan.

Iran: Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi attends a meeting of Iran-Pakistan Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in Islamabad (to September 8).

Kazakhstan/China: Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov makes an official visit to Beijing (to September 9).

Russia: The 2011 Global Policy Forum opens in Yaroslavl under the auspices of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev (to September 8).


THURSDAY, September 8:

Afghanistan: U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations holds a hearing on Afghanistan.
