Afghan and NATO officials say Taliban militants have attacked a compound housing Afghan and foreign troops and civilians in Afghanistan's northeastern Panjshir Province.
A spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, quoted by Reuters news agency, confirmed that an "insurgent suicide attack" took place on October 15 at the Provincial Reconstruction Team base.
Officials said all four militants who took part in the attack were killed, and there were no deaths among base personnel.
The Associated Press reports that the militants attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and a vehicle packed with explosives, and that two Afghan security guards were wounded.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
