Gunman Attacks Dutch Shoppers, At Least 6 Killed

A man has opened fire on people at a shopping mall in the western Netherlands, killing at least six and wounding several others before shooting himself.

Bas Eenhoorn, the acting mayor of Alphen aan den Rijn, told a press conference that "A man with an automatic weapon opened fire on the crowd" in the mall, "which was packed with families and children doing their shopping."

He said the man had acted alone.

Witnesses described the shooters as being around 20 years old.
