An Iranian negotiator says technical talks are progressing slowly between Iran and world powers on how to implement the interim deal on the Iranian nuclear program.
Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told the Islamic Republic News Agency that the talks in Geneva, Switzerland, are expected to continue on December 22.
Araqchi is not attending the talks, which began on December 19.
Under the deal announced November 24, Iran agreed to curb parts of its nuclear program for at least six months.
In exchange, Iran is to receive partial relief from Western sanctions.
The six-month period, which has not yet begun, is aimed at giving Iran and world powers time to craft a long-term accord envisioned as ending the decade long dispute over allegations Iran is seeking to make a nuclear weapon.
