Iranian diplomats and embassy staff have left their offices in London after Britain ordered the closure of their embassy in the wake of an attack this week by demonstrators on the British Embassy in Tehran.

Officials were seen loading boxes into vehicles at the Iranian Embassy in London.

The British government has confirmed that all Iranian diplomats have left the country.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague on November 30 ordered the diplomats to leave Britain within 48 hours, following the closure of Britain's embassy in Tehran, which was stormed and ransacked by protesters one day earlier.
