A suicide bomber blew up his explosives-laden car in a convoy carrying the governor of Iraq's western Anbar Province today, wounding at least six Iraqis, including bodyguards and civilians.

Officials said Governor Qasim al-Fahadawi was unharmed in the attack in the provincial capital, Ramadi, about 100 kilometers west of Baghdad.

Fahadawi was seriously wounded in a similar attack in 2009.
