Dangerous Liaison: One Man’s Tangle With Islamic State Recruiters In Russia


Hundreds of people from Central Asia have traveled to Syria to join Islamic State militants. But many of them were radicalized and recruited while working as migrant laborers in Russia. The story of a 22-year-old ethnic Uzbek from Kyrgyzstan, Sherzod, whose name has been changed for his own safety, shows how militant cells gradually entangle young men into jihad.
