More Than 20 Killed In Pakistani Wedding Bus Crash

Officials in Pakistan say at least 23 people were killed when a bus carrying a wedding party fell into a ravine near the capital, Islamabad.

Hospital sources said some 60 other people were injured in the June 3 incident in the Rawalpindi district.

Many women and children are reported among the dead.

Officials say investigators are probing whether the crash was caused by the driver losing control of the vehicle.

Pakistan has one of the world's worst records of fatal traffic accidents.

The carnage is blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles, and reckless driving.

Based on reporting by AFP, dpa, and Radio Mashaal
