The board of Russian potash producer Uralkali has named a new CEO after removing Vladislav Baumgertner, who is awaiting trial on abuse-of-offices charges.
The company announced on December 23 that it had named Dmitry Osipov, formerly deputy chairman of Uralkhim, as its new CEO.
Last week, oligarchs Mikhail Prokhorov and Dmitry Mazepin took control of a 47-percent stake in Uralkali, the world's largest potash producer.
Baumgertner was detained in Minsk in August after he dissolved a trade agreement with Belarus the previous month, infuriating the government of Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
He was later extradited to Moscow to face trial.
