ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan's foreign office says Russian President Vladimir Putin has canceled a trip to Islambad to attend a planned quadrilateral summit between Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.
Foreign Office spokesman Moazzam Khan said the summit, planned for October 2 and 3 in the Pakistani capital, is being rescheduled.
Khan said "new summit dates will be worked out according to the schedules of the respective leaders of the countries."
The statement gave no reasons for the Russian president's cancellation.
