Officials in Pakistan say at least four people have been killed and two others injured in a roadside bomb explosion in a remote tribal area near the Afghan border.

The authorities say the blast occurred on March 14 in the Mamund area of the northwestern Bajaur tribal region, where militants linked to Al-Qaeda and the Pakistan Taliban are active.

Officials said there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
