Moscow's regional court has begun the trial of four men accused of involvement in a suicide bombing last year at Moscow's Domodedovo International Airport.
The four defendants, all from Russia's restive North Caucasus, are charged with terrorism, murder, and membership in a militant group.
The presiding judge has rejected the defendants' request for an open trial, ruling that the hearings will be behind closed doors.
Investigators allege that the suicide bombing at the airport on January 24, 2011 -- which killed 37 and injured 172 people -- was organized by Chechen separatist leader and militant Islamist Doku Umarov.
