Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry says four people were killed in a plane crash at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport.
According to airport officials, the passenger plane was on fire and was badly damaged after running off the runway while landing on December 29.
Eight people were aboard the Russian Tu-204 airplane belonging to Red Wings Airlines.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
Light snow was falling in Moscow at the time.
The Vnukovo press service said the airport infrastructure was not badly damaged by the accident, except for the airport walls.
The Tu-204 is a twin-engine medium-range jet with a capacity of 210 passengers.
