A trial date has been set for two opposition figures accused of organizing antigovernment unrest in Russia.
Violetta Volkova, a lawyer for Left Front movement coordinator Sergei Udaltsov, said on January 28 that a hearing for Udaltsov and his alleged accomplice, Leonid Razvozzhayev, will start in Moscow City Court behind closed doors on February 4.
The two are accused of preparing mass riots in Russian regions and organizing an antigovernment rally on Moscow's Bolotnaya Square in May 2012 that turned violent.
Scores of protesters and police were injured.
Razvozzhayev is also accused of illegally crossing the border.
The two men deny any wrongdoing.
Their trial had been originally set for December 26, but the court returned the case back to the Prosecutor-General's Office last month, claiming the wording of the charges was incomplete.
