Organizers of a national protest in Russia scheduled for February 4 have drafted the movement's demands, including the annulment of the December 2011 parliamentary elections and the dismissal of the chief election official.

Russia has seen a wave of protests since the parliamentary vote, which was widely seen as flawed.

Organizers of the sanctioned rally in Moscow also decided it will comprise four separate marches -- by liberals, nationalists, leftists, and others.

The founder of the liberal Yabloko Party, Grigory Yavlinsky, who was recently disqualified from the March 4 presidential election, will address the rally, as will Communist Party candidate Gennady Zyuganov and A Just Russia party candidate Sergei Mironov.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who served two terms as president between 2000 and 2008, is seeking to return to the Kremlin in the March election.

Meanwhile, more than a dozen protesters, including radical opposition leader Eduard Limonov, were detained on January 31 as they sought to stage a rally marking the Russians' right to freedom of assembly. Around 100 people turned up for the unsanctioned rally in central Moscow.

Limonov has been repeatedly arrested during similar rallies in the past.
