Italian motorcyclist Andrea Antonelli has died in an accident at a World Supersport Championship race in Moscow.
The 25-year-old Kawasaki rider fell on July 21 in heavy rains and hit his head against the race course in the opening lap.
Fellow Italian rider Lorenzo Zanetti, hampered by poor vision, then struck Antonelli on the ground.
Antonelli subsequently died of his injuries at a hospital on the grounds.
Riders and officials later met and decided to not restart the race because of safety reasons.
