Tajik Supreme Court Chairman's Son Suspected In Fatal Car Accident


DUSHANBE -- Tajik Supreme Court Chairman Nusratullo Abdulloev's son is suspected of killing a Chinese woman in a car accident, RFE/RL's Tajik Service reports.

Farhod Abdulloev, 25, is believed to have unintentionally killed Liug Zheun, 46, who worked for a Chinese company involved in highway construction in Tajikistan.

Interior Ministry spokesman Mahmadullo Asadulloev said the accident happened late on April 12 when Abdulloev was driving his BMW in central Dushanbe. Asadulloev said the victim died immediately.

He said Abdulloev has not been arrested but the Prosecutor-General's Office is investigating the incident.
