A Pakistani teen peace activist has been discharged from a British hospital after reconstructive surgery on her skull.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham said that Malala Yousafzai had made a good recovery and her rehabilitation will continue in her family's temporary home in the city.

Malala, 15, left the hospital on February 7 after the doctors treating her concluded she was well enough to leave the hospital.

The two operations on February 2 aimed at skull reconstruction and a cochlear implant surgery to restore her hearing.

Malala was shot in October while she was returning home from her school in Pakistan's volatile Swat region.

She was targeted by the militants for promoting girls' education and writing a blog about Taliban atrocities in 2009.
