Top Russia, Serbian Diplomats To Meet In Moscow

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold talks in Moscow with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on April 1.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said the ministers will discuss joint projects in trade and investment.

On March 31, Dacic met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Rogozin said they worked on an agreement between the state corporation Rostech and the Serbian government on supplying automobile spare parts. They also discussed an agreement for Russia to import Serbian foodstuffs.

At the meeting with Shoigu, Dacic discussed Serbian participation in operations to clear mines from the Syrian historic site of Palmyra that was rescued from the Islamic State extremist group this week.

"In the past, we have done mine-clearing in Serbia," Shoigu noted.
