Ukrainian former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko walked out of the country's Prosecutor-General's Office on May 24 after a full day of questioning.

Tymoshenko has repeatedly been summoned for questioning on charges she defrauded the state of millions while serving as prime minister.

Her party had announced earlier on May 24 that she had been arrested, but the authorities denied the allegation.

Tymoshenko, a former leader of Ukraine's 2004 Orange Revolution, and her supporters see the claims against her as a political vendetta by current President Viktor Yanukovych, her longtime pro-Russian rival.
