While there has been an explosion in the number of media in Afghanistan, some worry that official pressure is increasing.

The Afghan government says an Ariana television correspondent was arrested this week for insulting cabinet ministers on his weekly program. While media freedom in Afghanistan has flourished since the fall of the Taliban in 2001, media rights groups worry that this latest action threatens that freedom. More
