Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has faced a judge for the first time at the UN's Yugoslav war crimes tribunal in The Hague. During his court appearance, a tribunal judge informed Karadzic of 11 charges against him relating to his alleged role in atrocities committed against non-Serbs during the 1992-95 Bosnia civil war.
