More Clashes Reported In Chechnya

8 July 2004 -- Russian troops say they killed at least three Chechen fighters and wounded three others yesterday in a clash in the republic's southern Vedeno Raion.

At least two Russian soldiers were killed and four wounded yesterday in another clash in the Nozhai-Yurt Raion.

Unidentified men in the capital Grozny, meanwhile, yesterday shot and killed a policeman. The attackers escaped.
